The Region

Meet the sunny slopes of Yakima Valley, Washington with this spectacular Pinot Grigio!  Long, sun-drenched days combined with cool evenings in this desert climate cultivate the perfect growing conditions for grapes of a complex nature.  The valley offers a rich diversity of rugged hillsides and wetlands to yield bold, luscious, world-class wines.

Yakima Valley

Yakima Valley was the first American Viticultural Area (AVA) established within Washington state.  With 300 days of sunshine, the valley is flooded with beautiful colors especially in the Spring time.  The Arrowleaf Balsamroot brightens the valley’s landscape with its dewy golden flowers making it one of this region’s most popular wildflower.

Pinot Grigio

Delicate and refreshing, the 2017 Pinot Grigio has a fruity flair with aromas of bright green apple, peach, and delicate vanilla.  Flavors of orange blossoms and apricots combine with a well-balanced mouthfeel.  Its mild acidity creates a complex wine with an enriching finish.

Pinot Grigio is a refreshing, dynamic wine that pairs well with light, summery food and ever-popular Italian staples such as light seafood or vegetable-based pastas.  This wine has the kind of snap that makes classic preparations such as grilled fish or chicken florentine sing a new tune. At the same time, the wine’s soft, fruity flavors are versatile enough to pair with Pad Thai or even a flatbread pizza!  For a modern twist, Pinot Grigio can also be served alongside sushi and saffron-scented paella.
